Performance Capabilities
The Mazda CX-70 comes in two powertrain variations: the first is a mild hybrid with a 3.3-liter Inline 6 Turbo engine. A mild hybrid shouldn’t be confused with a regular hybrid. The former is equipped with a smaller battery that’s insufficient to power the vehicle on its own. Rather, it helps power the combustible engine and is recharged via regenerative braking.
The other option is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle which can rely solely on all-electric power for short trips. Both come with the brand’s i-ACTIV AWD® as standard. The engines of both variants are also mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Exterior Design
As with most models in the brand, the Mazda CX-70 boasts a bold appearance along with hints of contemporary and sporty touches. 21-inch wheels with black metal and a machine-cut finish are available.
Interior Design
The Mazda CX-70 will have a luxurious and high-tech cabin. It is larger than the Mazda CX-5 and the Mazda CX-50, so it’s a good option for those who don’t need three rows but want extra cargo space. Red upholstery with black accents is available for a touch of elegance. The innovative cabin will offer amenities such as Wireless Charging, Bose® premium audio, and all-new available Alexa integration.
